“Revival of a Forgotten Hero: Rebirth of Spirit Baptism for the 21st Century”

This paper will explore the significance of Spirit baptism as a cornerstone in early Pentecostal history and look at how its emphasis has since declined in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles. Based on Carrie Judd Montgomery’s own Spirit baptism experience, significant aspects or approaches to Spirit baptism that need to be recovered, the potential effects of that readjustment, and how approaching Spirit baptism can be translated into the 21st century will be presented.
