Abstract
This is a transcript of a lecture given by Howard M. Ervin at Christian Life Fellowship in 1980. Ervin discusses the relationship between the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Cor 12.
Excerpt: The fruits of the Spirit are the evidence of the new birth. The manifestations of the Spirit are the evidence of the Pentecostal experience. You are not a Christian because you’ve been baptized, quote, unquote, in the Spirit, you’re a Christian because you’ve received Jesus and been made partaker of the Divine Nature and the Divine attributes of God are there – His very Nature.
