Description

Pentecostals are getting increasingly engaged in ecumenical dialogue. In the Netherlands the Reformed churches officially recognized the Pentecostal appeal as early as the 1960's. During- the 1990's the Re-Reformed Church, the interdenominational missionary organizations and the Roman Catholic Church have initiated various ecumenical exchanges with the Pentecostals. The latter two are still ongoing. These dialogues prove to be mutually beneficial. Some important lessons can be drawn from the Dutch experiences like the integration of worship and charismatic utterances, the 1 necessity of equal participation and the focus on faith and fellowship.
