Abstract

This curriculum examined how recent high-profile sports events and controversies illuminate in emerging trends in athlete agency, gender representation, and the globalization of sports — and to explore how these developments can inform leadership, ethics, and curriculum in sports management and coaching. This synthesis can serve as a launchpad for workshop discussions on how coaches, athletic directors, and educators can adapt leadership models, curriculum, and community engagement strategies in response to these evolving dynamics.
