Abstract

Inner Scope aims to introduce coaching as an intervention into the existing framework of Christian and non-profit leadership development. The existing framework for training and developing Christian and non-profit leaders is limited in its capacity to transform by subverting leadership failures as a pathway to success through vulnerable growth. This construct threatens the spiritual vitality of leaders and opens the door to spiritual depression, in which leaders address their blind spots after a personal or professional failure. Inner Scope strategically positions itself within the thread of leadership development by addressing the whole person through the concepts of partnership, accountable decision-making, and evidence-based coaching to revive a leader's spiritual vitality. This business will specialize in recognizing the inherent giftedness within individuals and orchestrating cultural change within organizations. As a start-up, this project adhered to the Small Business Administration (SBA) requirements for developing a business plan, drawing on the Business Model Canvas and the Value Proposition. Secondary research from Australia and South Africa proved valuable when navigating the dichotomous landscape of leadership development. This project challenges the prevailing view that identity is locked into mission and duty and provides evidence that coaching can thrive within the ecosystem of leadership development
